I love my fountain pen and am glad that I can still get the ink cartridges.

I tried this in a Hero 2017 and my Lamy Safari and thought I had residual water built up from cleaning the pens

It just works, and I don't have to worry about a pen clogging up.

It doesn't write as well as some of the thicker black inks, but it doesn't clog the pen when I leave the cap off, and I've saved more than one favorite shirt from the rag bin.

I had been using Noodler's Bulletproof Black, but I have since found that my J159, as well as other Jinhao pens, just didn't work well with the Noodler's Black

Admittedly, the ink may flow too freely in some of your pens, but this is the perfect thing for drier nibs, and it won't harm or stain your expensive or vintage pens.

The ink is only as good as the fountain pen it was designed to work with and in this case this ink failed

With the name brand ink the pen never worked correctly

Second it can and often does get airlocked, now this may be because I often lay my pen down on the table allowing the air that is in the chamber to slip past the ink, but either way, it seems to do this quite often.

I missed fountain pens very much, so now I am back using ink fountain pens.

The pen that I ordered this for (a Parker Sonnet) originally shipped with a push-type (syringe) converter, and though I love the pen, it was always a huge, messy chore to fill because the piston was so stiff the force required to slide the piston and draw the ink up into the pen caused me to knock over the inkwell more than a few times

I recommend this ink for either very smooth pens that might be able to make up for its shortcommings somewhat, or for pens who are so scratchy anyway, that this ink will not make a difference to the writing

A great advantage over cartridges: If/when the ink dries in your fountain pen, use the pump in this converter to flush it out, draw ink back in, flush it out again, repeat a few times, and your pen is good as new.

I've had some pens write rough with other inks, even the expensive ones.

The ink flows smoother (assuming you have a well maintained pen and nib), it doesn't bleed as badly, and it lasts longer

If you have a junky turd fountain pen that you want to write 14th century haikus with on parchment, this is probably the ink for you
