The bottle alone is excellent value for such a low cost plus you get good quality ink also

...boiled out the nib in hot water - and it works like a champ!!!!

Only issue I found is replacing the nibs on the pen can be extremely difficult and there is little to no advice online on how to go about doing so.

Make sure to use the good quality paper, otherwise it spreads out and writing looks hideous

My experience has been that all blue inks bleed through cheap paper.

Likewise, I found that even on cheap paper it did not bleed through to the back

Personally, I prefer a SUPER black "looking" ink, and Quink Black has a bit of shadowing with dry nibs and fast writing that makes it feel like a very very very dark blue at times

When you have a fountain pen or just feel like making a mess, you will have the ink to do so

It isn't glaringly obviously blue, but it is more of a stormy grey, kind of like the color of the Pacific Ocean during winter

Box only had a slight scuff but other than that the box was in perfect shape
