pBone PBONE1W Jiggs Plastic Trombone, White

    • The tone and playability improves dramatically when using a real mouthpiece.
    • It plays as well as you do, and has good tone over the entire range of the trombone
    • For a plastic trombone, the sound isn't that bad, although I would recommend using the regular mouthpiece like some of the experts suggested for better tone quality
    • I get a good tone on this
    • I have an 80 plus years old brass trombone that with all irs age still has a better tone than the pBone.
    • Lightweight, good tone.
    • So the tone is fine
    • The tone is great and my brief experience says that I should learn it
    • In the hands of an experienced trombonist who can make the repairs and modifications needed to get it working it is capable of a very lovely tone and good playability, but the skills needed to do this are far beyond a beginning student.
    • Horn plays very well and is superior to some other plastic trombones I've tried, with better tone and sturdier.
    • Purchased as birthday gift for teen son who plays trombone in high school - surprisingly good clear tone and he is excited to be able to take it on Scout campouts, use it for marching band practice, etc
    • The pbone is not just a toy but also a fun, serious instrument with a decent tone at an economical price (I believe probably a better value and more durable than a 'lower-end' student brass trombone).
    • Great tone good for practing and small jam sessions but slide takes some getting used to.
    • This horn has a pretty good tone though not as bright.
    • He does say he has to play a bit "harder" to get good tone, but it is great for pep band
    • You can development a very good tone if you work at it.
    • My pBone was making a nice, loud, even tone right away, with no delay
    • It's light and portable and has an amazing tone
    • The tone on this trombone comes out as any $1.000 trombone but it doesn't have the rich, dark, and singing tone that others have
    • He says the this has a nice warm tone and will be good for jazz, if that means anything to you.
    • Light, good tone, and you don't have to worry about it in the rain like you do your expensive horn.
    • The tone is terrible and the slide is noisy
    • My pBone was making a nice, loud, even tone right away, with no delay
