But they're so well thought out, from the handles to the wheels and latches, and with a fair price, that the music industry (where I am) has been using pelican for the longest time

I had my eye on this case for over a year and when I stumbled on the awesome price a seller had it here on Amazon for it was a no brainer

Most likely a 'quality control' issue at the factory, hence the price

This is a great case either way, it's worth the price!

All I can really say is that all my Pelican cases including this one always feel very very durable and the price is reasonable for something that is so many ...proofs.

Well I got this case at an extreme discount due to Amazon honoring a price they posted by mistake
