The 1510 size is great, it allows lots of versatility for travel (you can even take this as airline cabin luggage) and the dividers gives you much more flexibility to pack your gear, and also re invent the contents capacity by just re arranging the dividers

This size is perfect for use as a carry-on itself, but on some international flights they will ask you to check it regardless

So, I bought a 1510 with the Velcro padded dividers and just love the size, the space efficiency, and the security.

It is perfect size and is lighter than it looks

I also intend to purchase the interior dividers to improve the storage size.

Keep in mind that it's heavy: I tried to use as my carry on a few weks back (the size is perfect for it) but JFK had a new thing where you were supposed to weight your carry on - I kept taking things out ofo of it and transferring to my check in luggage, and ended up with the case almost empty and STILL over the allowed weight (whivh is like 10lbs - a joke)

Packed a small telescope, 2 cameras, 2 tripods, and all the misc gear/cables - and its the right size to layer in all the various eclipse maps & back-road atlases.

I went and picked up 2 medium sized locks that work well for the locking points on each side.

I use these for everyday use and also for all my flight carry on as they are the correct size and also take the TSA locks which are a must!
