Pelican 1510 Case With Foam (Black)

    • (A thin layer of closed-cell foam could have been placed there to afford a small amount of protection.)-Wheeling / drag handle is wobbly when deployed.-Case is very heavy and may be over your airline's carry-on weight limit even when empty.-Wheels and handle occupy a small amount of internal space, and dividers do not provide padding over those spaces.
    • While purchased for carry on purposes, the interior and weight will be factors to keep in mind as I won't likely be able to load all that want and still meet weight limits.
    • Appropriately so for its sturdiness, but with a common airline weight limit of ~22lb, anything but a small amount of light clothing will put you
    • This size case is big enough to hold a generous supply of tools and still meet the weight limit of airlines for checked luggage plus its still compact enough to not be unwieldy
    • Perhaps I didn't get it across right, but this box is heavy and weighs nearly half of the carry on weight limit
    • You may have difficulty on overseas carriers with overhead weight limits if you have heavy glass and extra batteries in your kit.
    • When I saw the case on the deck I expected my gear is gone, well I opened the case and ALL contents were bone dry as was the interior of the case
    • So, how much can it hold; well I have 2 Canon 5D Mk2 bodies, 70-
    • Yes, I've tried sandwiching my gear between clean T shirts in a hard case
