That being said, this spring is about 8 times stiffer than it needs to be to retract the tip.

The quality is there and the retracting tip helps avoid accidents.

While I do prefer a fine tip for my writing utensils, I just found this 0.3mm lead to be too fine for my main writer

It still has that fine tip feel without the frailty of the 0.3mm.

I keep it with me and I love how the tip retracts to protect it from bending.
