Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen, Includes 2 Black Ink Refills (GFKP3BPA)

    • Super soft, controled ink flow, easy to change cartridge ( reausable )
    • Best advice I can give is to be patient when waiting for the ink to load into the tip or you may smash the tip down and take away the very fine point of the inking tip.
    • so no exploding ink when you open it one day
    • well!-Light weight!-Works with Copic markers!Cons:-Ink takes several minuets to flow into the bristles
    • The ink doesn’t smudge, either
    • It produces a nice, dark ink on the paper with no problems.
    • Very smooth flowing ink.
    • And the ink is nice and black.
    • Also the ink smudged badly while laying a watercolor wash on top even after it had dried to touch
    • It's good, but if I write too fast, the ink starts to break.
    • Dark ink with great coverage.
    • Great for the price and cheap ink cartridges.
    • Not everyone likes ink brushes like this, it is sometimes difficult on controlling your drawing.
    • No mechanism for flooding the tip with ink (just hold downward and... wait.)I bought this pen because my old favorite Pentel brush pen (with a squeezable barrel) changed to a very slow drying ink, which has been a frustrating smudge fest
    • This is a great ink pen, one capsul lasted all though inktober and even comes with a refill
    • Smooth ink flow and comfort in hand.
    • Perfect balance of flex and spring, great ink flow, nice dark ink
    • Pros:-Portable!-Cap!-Nice black ink that doesn't bleed and dries fast
    • This pen is really nice but the ink is too hard to control for fine and steady line work for me personally.
    • The ink is very dark and dries quickly.
    • For wider strokes, the ink doesn't flow as well as I would
    • I love the brush and the permanent ink.
    • I love inking, and & was checking out the pens I was familiar with (Micron, Staedtler, etc.
    • Its nature is perfectly suited to people who enjoy brush-inking on the go, plus it's smaller than its disposable
    • but the ink destroys my
    • First, the ink, while great, does bleed quite a bit on certain paper types
    • but still I thought the ink would last longer than that so that sucked.
    • People new to brush pens should definitely start out on a piece of blank paper and test out different angles and pressures, but once you've gotten the hang of it, this is a great inking pen.
    • The ink is black as hell
    • Nice little brush pen, good ink coverage and the brush has a good range of fine to broad lines
    • The ink is quite good, archival quality
    • the product was dry, the ink comes out slow.
    • To refill a cartridge yourself just grab a blunt ended syringe (these are not sharp and some are sold for use with cosmetics or refilling printer/pen inks) and some pen-safe black ink
    • The ink is rich and the brush kept nice and straight.
    • It has great ink flow, though you have to draw a little slow to get a crisp, thick line
    • Love this pen, the ink flows smoothly.
    • Also make sure to keep the cap on when it's not in use because the ink will dry on the brush and harden, but then that is with most brush pens.
    • The ink is amazing, water
    • I did not feel like the ink was as black as I wanted however it does make a nice addition to my supplies
    • so you gorgeous clean strokes......also the bristles come to fine point so you can get really fine details and the ink is nice and super
    • This is the best inking brush in the world
    • Of course Pentel makes great ink and it flows very smoothly to the brush once I loaded the cartridge in the barrel.
    • Ink is not as rich of a black as a traditional brush, but the feel is nearly identical.
    • Such ink presents a problem, since it needs to be gentle with the brush, without losing its permanency
    • The ink is so black, yet it doesn't bleed like crazy through my sketchbooks
    • This market is stunning, for calligraphy and art paint, and the ink is super dark and the quality awesome
    • First, the ink, while great, does bleed quite a bit on certain paper types
    • Any ink that works in a fountain pen should work fine.
    • I just can't find myself going very fast (unless that's the look I want), because it doesn't put down enough ink, but that's a preference thing, and I actually like it that way
    • great brush pen, i wish the ink was a little darker, but a syringe and a bottle of super black will fix that
    • They keep the tip beautifully, and the ink is pretty good
    • Yes it does take quite a while for the ink to seep into the bristles but well worth the wait
    • The ink is great, the brush tip works awesome, it's just that the pen itself doesn't lay down a lot of ink
    • First off, I enjoyed this brush pen much more than my last one (Bimoji brand) because I can make finer lines with it, and I found it to have a nicer, more consistent ink flow
    • Perfect balance of flex and spring, great ink flow, nice dark ink
    • It produces good strokes and good inking without requiring the skills associated with ink stones and more traditional brushes and methods.
    • I thought to give it some time and let the ink soak all the bristles but still
    • The ink is great, and the flow is really good, but occasionally the tip of the brush becomes split, and stuck in this position until you press it up against a surface
    • My new favorite inking brush!
    • Pentel managed to invent its own ink variety that works perfectly with this pen
    • The ink flows really well, which is a gift and a curse if you are not use to it.
    • It used to have a squeeze-barrel, but they've improved the ink, apparently, so it doesn't need one.
    • It produces a nice, dark ink on the paper with no problems.
    • The black ink is actually a dark grey, but I wanted a saturated, dark, black ink, like India ink is
    • For those who like to sketch and then ink drawings, you probably know how frustrating it can be to make seamless and smooth ink lines
    • The ink is great
    • Save yourself from that sinking feeling of smearing a perfectly inked drawing by waiting for it to fully set before you go in with wet applications.2
    • The ink looks really nice on paper but the tool is incredibly hard to control properly
    • This is setting a new standard for dark, rich inking
    • It's has consistent ink flow from the included cartridges at any angle and line width
    • I'm back to using a small brush and India ink which is 100% waterproof when paired with the correct ink
    • These brush pens come with very nice and very black ink, and can be refilled with cartridges
    • It takes some getting used to but the ink is solid and the pen is very comfortable
    • The tip is so versatile in strokes and the ink is so rich
    • Great for manga or comics, works well on any paper, nice dark black ink, bristle brush tip not felt
    • I've left the cap off for a good five minutes while I worked with another tool before switching back to the Pocket Brush and the ink was nice and wet.
    • The ink refill was easy to insert and the ink flows well - with no leakage
    • I love brush and ink but hate the mess of it when I'm on the go, and regular foam-tipped "brush pens" break after a few uses for me
    • It is absolutely the best brush pen I've ever tried, the ink is dark, water-proof (or at least highly resistant to my light watercolor washes) and goes on beautifully to a variety of surfaces
    • Great control, great ink flow, excuse
    • Dark black ink, very smooth lines, and easy to control
    • Downside since its a nice heavy ink it might bleed a tinsy bit through a leda sketchbook page.
    • The Pentel is more compact, and in my assessment has slightly better ink flow and is a slight bit easier to control depending on what you are using it for
    • I'll say this for it, the ink flow is consistent and the ink is very stable (no smudging or fading once it's dry)
    • This pen is great - very smooth lines and nice dark ink
    • The ink is not as dense as I'd hoped.
    • Top of the line great quality, quick inking for art work, comics just a all around good product.
    • Permanent ink ruined my clothes
    • * Ink works well with multiple marker
    • This pen is great - very smooth lines and nice dark ink

    • I'll say this for it, the ink flow is consistent and the ink is very stable (no smudging or fading once it's dry)
    • Great lines, solid black ink
    • and I really like how truly black the ink is and it is waterproof once dry
    • Great ink flow, pointy brush for tight lines, good size for my hand.
    • Great control, great ink flow, excuse
    • Up until I received this pen, I mainly stuck with using a standard rolling-ball pen for my ink work (I'm not very traditional and don't use a pen and an ink well very often).
    • Knocked off a star for misleading advertising because it's a great pen with nice, black ink
    • Fantastic ink brush for on the go
    • This functions great and the ink is nice and smooth
    • The pen is cool but the ink
    • It's the ideal ink brush for me as I don't ink as much as I paint
    • This brush works pretty good, but it doesn't lay down the ink as well as it's competitor the Sakura 30067 brush pen
    • The ink is fairly dark and it was very easy to assemble (It takes a minute for the ink to start flowing)
    • Great for manga or comics, works well on any paper, nice dark black ink, bristle brush tip not felt
    • Lays nice varied lines with very dark black ink.
    • The ink doesn't bleed when using water colors.
    • It doesn't write smoothly, and the ink is very slow in coming out, so you have to write REALLY SLOWLY in order for it to not have gaps in the ink.
    • HOWEVER the ink doesn't flow very well for me, it's like its getting dry when you first use it
    • The Black Pentel Color Brush Pen is also excellent, you squeeze it and the ink is much sexier
    • This is setting a new standard for dark, rich inking
    • I really think this pen was a great ut i and I will buy again.
