Best advice I can give is to be patient when waiting for the ink to load into the tip or you may smash the tip down and take away the very fine point of the inking tip.

But this brush pen is fantastic, the tip is very soft and if you are gentle enought you can actually make hair width lines but if you need a thick control line you can really push the tip into the thicknes you need.

It's a bit thicker than I prefer, but there are finer tips available I will try.

The tip is nice in that it isn't too stiff (like prismacolor) or too flexible (like micron).

1 copy of this brush pen I bought had a not-quite-perfect tip, which made doing controlled thin lines hard-to-impossible

that had a stiffer fiber tip that I could do zentangle art with.

However, unlike regular brushes, brush pens are saturated with ink all the time, which presents a problem: the ink needs to treat the bristles gently, else you will ruin the tip quickly

It has a feather tip for light brushing and you can darken it

It does have a similar feel to dipping a fine tipped brush in ink w/out the risk of spilling ink!
