The G2 has a clear or non painted barrel

Not a thick barrel, so it is comfortable to write with.

Okay, the barrel is a little cheap, so that the ink cartridge will sometimes outlast it.

The barrel easily breaks into two separate pieces and renders the pens unusable

4 out of 5 barrels are cracked and I hardly ever used them.

Got these pens in and they are awesome, I just love them they write so smoothly and very comfortable to hold good size barrel which is a plus for someone that has to take a lot of handwritten

But barrel cracks after a short time maybe a month or so... ended up tapeing the crack tightly and getting another few months but crack extended further up the barrel.

but if I can't write because the barrel is defective, it's kind of self-defeating.

My only complaint is that I do not like the painted barrels

I agree with other reviewers here, though, with the very high "barrel crack rate."

Have always loved these pens but now they are made of cheap plastic and the barrel cracks within just a few days of use.

Thicker barrel for more comfortable writing, and very smooth.

As a lefty and this is gel it does not smear as you are writing
