I hope I just got a bad batch because I love Pentel pens, but these are TERRIBLE!!!!!

(maybe just a bad batch or maybe I'm rougher on pens, in and out of my pants' pocket all day)

These are my favorite kind of pen but this batch definitely had a problem

Bought 3 more hopefully next batch is better.

Because I ordered the three batches of pens at different times over the course of a year, I believe that this is likely an ongoing, structural issue with the pens, not the result of a defective batch

and it's my favorite type of pen (the Pentel Energel brand), but the ones I got must be a bad batch because they're all breaking.

This wasn't the first purchase that had this problem, so I don't think it was just one bad batch.

As a lefty and this is gel it does not smear as you are writing
