It still has that fine tip feel without the frailty of the 0.3mm.

I would recommend this for a carry around pencil since it has a retractable tip but the pentel graph gear 500 is better for at home use as it has a much better balance.

With regular drafting pencils, they typically cannot retract the metal tip

though.1: sometimes if the eraser piece, after some use, fits slightly more loose than it should it will pop off when you press the lever to retract the pencil tip
