this is really good erasers for erasing a big area, but it does leave a little shadow of graphite behind if the graphite is very dark.

Heavier pencil marks made by softer graphite (4B, 6B) don't disappear quite so well or so easily

I usually write with a pressure paper because graphite always tends to bleed through for me, but all I have to do is scrape the pressure paper with this eraser, and it looks good as new (with a pink eraser, I would just have to get new pressure papers every now and then).

Almost all pencil erasers seem to smudge the graphite and make the page look unreadable, these however are great at gently removing most all marks
