Huge hit and the dog loves getting treats

This was all tested using the treats that came with the product and that were recommended as well

My dogs LOVE the treats and l love that I am able to see if they are misbehaving when I am not home

At first I had trouble with it correctly launching treats even though it was the treats that it came with

The treats that came with the petcube were pretty

It says "if a treat gets jammed, you'll get a notification," but I never have a jam, and I never get a notification, it just doesn't dispense the treat down to the tray

Complimentary treats are included so you can try it right away as you unpack the box

The dog can hear us clearly when we talk to him through the app and he loves his treats

The camera is placed near the bottom of the 1 ft. tall structure which greatly reduces the field of view unless you use a wall mount and the treat-flinging mechanism jams with annoying frequency

It’s not easy to clean out treat crumbs from the bottom half of the device

My favorite feature is flinging treats, she was a bit scare at the beginning but got used to it very fast, especially after she realized that this box magical​ box gives her her favorite treats

As others have indicated, the treat tossing mechanism isn't reliable in the long term, and I have other ways to monitor activity remotely

That being said, even in small mode, treats dispensed range from 1-7 though I had 9 and 11 treats come out once as well.

Some pros: you can adjust the settings for how far the treats are thrown, how big the treats are, and the sound volume, the app is easy to figure out, and its pretty durable (my cat tries to knock the treats out of it)

It even shoots the treats out at random distances, so one time it may just kind of fall a few inches away from the machine.

One tip, when you get the treat bag don't dump the treats in like I did when I first got it

so it'll keep rotating until enough treats comes out

The included treats still get jammed from time to time

Within minutes we had it loaded up with her favorite treats and were controlling it from the app which is very easy to navigate

The treats are great, but what we love is the quality of the video when we want to check in.

Important to note, crunchy treats only (soft/chewy treats will break due to the motor/wheel), and they must be the size of the treats included (about less than half an inch), and must be round, for the flinging to function effectively

Checking in on her is easy and now she gets a treat for being good

My dogs are still very confused about my voice coming out of the magic treat-dispensing machine, but I love this thing

The dogs looked so funny trying to figure out where my voice was coming from and the flinging treats was hysterical

Our one dog we actually have to clean off the camera from him licking it because he loves the treats so much

I think ball shaped treats would do best but regardless, users should never shake treats after loading them into the hopper because that will pack them in tighter and increase the chances of jamming

A very robotic sounding system and worst treat dispenser

I have not tried any other treats, but the treats provided do work well.

The sample included was for dogs (supposed to be both) and while a small credit was issued, It took me a few weeks to find a decent treat

Think of the treat machine like a gumboil machine to kids.

And even with those notes, I have to take the item apart, or shake up the treats almost every third or fourth time I fling treats

Worked great for about 3 months, but now it no longer flings treats and i have to un plug it after viewing of the camera feed every time to be able to view the feed again

One issue I've had is that because his kitten treats are so small, the Petcube typically shoots out 7 or 8 treats at once, while I would prefer less at a time so I would feel better about giving them to him several times throughout the day

I learned that the best treat to put in here that will toss consistently is the Nutro crunchy

He LOVES the treats that are dispensed and it took him all of three times to realize that when it starts making noises he's gonna get rewarded

The product itself works as advertised, it is a little slow and clunky, the actual wifi connection and the actual treat coming out of it is slow to respond

My pets have quickly learned that it is a magical treat machine, so spend lots of time hanging out by the camera

Oh, I also found the PERFECT treats for this thing, treats that will never jam the machine and you get over double the amount for the same price of the wellness treats that come with petcube.

Product works great treat flings from the machine quite well you can hear your dog and they can hear you, mind you if your dog wasnt hard of hearing, lol

It's nice being able to keep tabs on him while I'm at work, and he loves the little treats from time to time

The only critique I can make is perhaps the complimentary treats should be a little larger.

Every time I think about this device, I am dumbfounded and baffled as to how this product ever made it through design, QA, and manufacturing without it ever occurring to anybody, "Hey, how do I turn it off

This review may be premature on how the Petcube works as it has been up and running less than 24 hours

My Petcube works as if it were brand new and my pup absolutely loves it

We have a new puppy who is at home for several hours a day and now we can see/talk to him as well as give him a treat

It's a great being able to check in and talk to my dog, as well as giving him some treats
