Philips 16X DVD-R Media 100 Pack in Spindle Handle (DM4S6H00F/17)

    • Unlike many other 100-pack DVD packages, there is no hard plastic to form the package
    • Rather than having a clear plastic cylinder that covers the whole stack, this just has a top that screws onto the top of the spindle.
    • Wouldn't liked some plastic over the sides, but still a great buy
    • Not here: It's not apparent from the product photo, but this is just a flimsy plastic bottom, a flimsy plastic top, a flimsy spindle connecting them, and piece of paper wrapped around the discs
    • Instead of the traditional hard plastic lock down type cover protecting you DVD's from dust, damage & other
    • The hard plastic top and bottom are supported by the DVDs themselves, and held together with the wrapper
    • Performs as expected, good price, no packaging cylindet to discard, just a hard plastic foil
    • Also, the hard-plastic lid has an attached carrying handle, which seems like a convenient feature.
    • This set comes in a plastic tower which is made of sturdy plastic
    • The case is a simple screw top with the handle and with no clear plastic cover down the sides

    • Not here: It's not apparent from the product photo, but this is just a flimsy plastic bottom, a flimsy plastic top, a flimsy spindle connecting them, and piece of paper wrapped around the discs
    • The spindle is super flimsy thin plastic that screws together with no outer casing around the discs, it feels like it's going to fall apart when you use the handle to carry all 100 discs & one of the spindles I ordered was cracked even though it was packed pretty well, the plastics just junk
    • In fact, the spindle construction is so flimsy that the flimsy plastic spine connecting the two flimsy plastic plates snapped halfway through the spool, so now I've got a half-stack of blank DVDs sitting on my desk without even the minimal protection from dust and scratches that the crappy spool was previously providing
