I ran the external antenna cable up a plumbing pvc vent pipe via a 1" hole I drilled with a paddle bit and sealed it back up with silicon caulk

Then I mounted the outside antenna to the vent pipe

Note: I was unable to use the supplied ubolt for this purpose as it does not fit around a common vent pipe

However I pre-drilled some holes in the vent pipe and fastened it with some bolts
