I only gave this a 4 star, because I wish the orange and green would appear on darker fabrics
-
I was pretty skeptical about using an ink pen on my quilt top, so I tried all the colors on a piece of scrap fabric; I used an iron to provide the heat needed to erase the ink (instead of using the nub of the pen to erase with friction, which I was concerned would distort my fabrics) and it erased completely
-
I can't say this enough but these are the best fabric pens available
-
I have heard lines will reappear when fabric gets cold, but have not experienced this myself.
-
I've not had that issue with light colored fabric, so now I'm sticking to chalk on darker colored fabric.
-
The colors are visible on dark fabric (used red on a dark gray fabric).
-
Unfortunately: the markers don't show up on very dark/black fabrics.
-
The only drawback I have found thus far is that I sometimes use some pretty dark fabrics and these do not show up super-well on dark fabrics
-
I just wish they had one in white for when you are working with dark fabrics.
-
I use them for some of my garment making (depending on the fabric I'm using) and they work great (other than not being able to see them on dark fabrics).
-
So unless you are washing your dark item, don't use the pens on dark fabric
-
One word of caution, tho, test the darker fabrics before marking.
-
They erase off fabric with a light touch with a warm iron; no pressure or rubbing is required, which is important when you piece a quilt so you don't distort the fabric.

Once in awhile on a dark fabric, the slightest hint of a line still exists after pressing/ironing.
-
I then, put the fabric in the freezer to cool the fabric down, then like bad magic, the marks I drew came right back as if I never erased them to begin with
-
Light colors on the darker fabric are seen easily.
-
However, the dark colors did not show up on the dark fabric.
-
Had heard that the marks come back if the fabric gets cold
-
On dark colored fabrics, they leave a white line behind.
-
Wish they made a white pe for dark fabrics - like black.
-
I used these on dark fabric then ironed it away, but the color from the fabric was leached - it left a faint white mark where the ink vanished.
-
The light colored pens show up well on dark fabric
-
At first they seemed to work great, until i used them on a dark teal fabric
-
The only negative aspect is they don't mark well on very dark fabrics
-
When using on a dark solid fabric, I found after ironing, the fabric color is lightened where the ink was drawn.
-
Wish there was one to use on dark fabrics, but that is asking a lot.
-
FriXion pens are the BEST fabric marker I've ever used.
-
Horrible on dark fabric
-
Awesome fabric markers

Best fabric marker I have ever used
-
Be careful for using it for delicate fabrics
-
Got these pens after seeing them in a very expensive fabric store
-
There is one con, and that is that on darker fabrics, there is a faint faint white residue when you heat it - usually just the browns and black fabrics - but that all washes away
-
Would recommend as they are erasable and are great for taking notes in class.
-
The color is grey, so that bothers me a
-
Nice writing pens, but the ink runs out a little fast and isn't as solid of a line as I would like.
-
Your friends and associates will undoubtedly enjoy these pens as much as you do.
-
Ink does not flow as well as from the new pens.
-
They write beautifully and erase as if you never wrote anything down
-
The ink erases, but not as well as I'd hope to see
-
I was a bit skeptical b/c
-
b/c I think I'd love to use the colored set to organize the school year.
