GREAT pens if you are looking for a very fine tip.

As a result of this I only get the "Fine" or "Ultra Fine" tips

I prefer the .038 extra fine tip.

I write very small, so the 0.38 tip on these pens is perfect

I would much rather have a finer tip, but looks like I'll have to settle for the G2 05 pens.

Some other ultra-fine point pens I've used have easily broken tips or intermittent ink flow, but I've never run into those problems with these pens.

Given that the tip is 0.38mm, it's not smooth for normal writing compared to a 0.5mm tip, but will work great for fine tip work

Like most ultra fine tips, they limit practicality to some degree because the finer tip is by default harsher on paper and is not going to write as smoothly

I think for general usage that the ‘fine’ .7mm (AKA “G2-07”) is really the best as it is super smooth but still fine tipped enough for smaller writing

However, the tips break very easily

The smooth tip and super fine point have always been my favorite features and just so I don't lose caps, retractables are now a must for me.

They unscrew a little easy sometimes, but the ink flows well and I never have a loose tip or stuck ball.

I love the ultra fine tipped G2's because they dry quickly and don't smear, as significant problem with the more common 0.7mm G2 pens.
