Pilot Metropolitan Collection Fountain Pen, Gold Barrel, Classic Design, Fine Nib, Black Ink (91112)

    • I’m using Noodlers “El Lawrence” and it bleeds a bit
    • It is a bit messy but has a great capacity
    • I will use it for journaling on wide ruled or blank paper; it's a bit too chunky for my note taking purposes in my squared notebooks
    • I am a bit of a pen snob, collector, appreciator... and this pen loves up to all the positive reviews
    • Pen has a nice, solid feel in the hand due to the brass construction, looks respectable, and has a smooth Pilot nib that puts down a fine, moderately wet line and has a bit of give to it (not enough to call it flex, but it gives a softer feel when writing than some of the hard German nibs so common in most other moderately priced fountain pens) and handles just about any ink you throw at it like a champ
    • The Pilot 78g used to be my go to cheap fountain pen, but this writes every bit as well, is in a much nicer body, and is only a couple bucks more
    • The pen does leak a bit but it's easy to clean
    • The ink flows smoothly and I enjoy the pen quite a bit
    • Not the least bit scratchy
    • I actually bought two, a fine bit and a medium bit
    • Nib is smooth and has a nice bite.
    • In an age of automatic digital connected wearable voice activated everything, there's something almost primally satisfying about writing on real paper with a pen that requires a little bit of effort and skill but rewards you with a much better experience if you're willing to try
    • Leaks a bit on the nib.
    • The only problems I've had really is that its a bit messy, splatters a bit of ink on the table if it set down with any amount of force
    • * the ink flows a bit faster than I'd like
    • Can bleed a little bit but nothing to be concerned about.
    • My second complaint is that it leaks quite a bit, and make a bit of a mess, the pilot blue ink leaks a lot more than the black
    • Cheap starter pen, if does bleed a little bit sometimes but not enoigj to ever stop using it.
    • At first the pen bled a bit which caused to get in my hands
    • the flow is just a bit wet but very smooth
    • Writes smooth, puts down ink well, but it does leak a bit
