Pilot Metropolitan Collection Fountain Pen, Gold Barrel, Classic Design, Fine Nib, Black Ink (91112)

    • It keeps ruining my hands and my clothes.
    • It stains my hands pretty much every time I use it.
    • I don't consider myself to have big hands, but my hand tends to cramp when using the Metropolitan
    • Also, the pen writes decent however, for me the ink would spill out and then would stain my hands with the mess it made
    • so maybe this pen is a much better experience for right handed users
    • People often commented that I had beautiful hand writing
    • but my hand writing rivals that of some doctors.
    • I use to have huge ink spills on my bag, hands always stained with ink but not with this one
    • After using this, ball point pens hurt my hand b/c of the pressure you need to write with them
    • I know it is within the risk of using a fountain pen, but I just wish I didn't have to deep clean my hands after every time or look like a pen exploded on my fingers
    • With most pens after a while your hands cramp.
    • The pen is so good but the ink gets out pretty easily and smudges my hands
    • The metal body feels substantial, and the grip is wide enough that my larger hands don't feel too cramped
    • It's not the most comfortable "note writing" pen, in this sense, as by the end of the lecture hour your hand might be tired and maybe even sore from fighting with the slipping and sliding
    • It has a great hand feel and weight.
    • Almost immediately after inserting the cartridge, it burst open and stained my hands black
    • This was my first "real" purchase toward beautiful journaling and calligraphy/hand lettering
    • So if your hand has any shakes or bumps in it, you're absolutely going to see that in your writing.
    • It hurts my hand to use it for too long
    • For a steadier hand, I'd recommend writing without capping the cover onto the other end of the pen.
    • (Side note: the medium nib is more like what America defines as a fine point nib, so this pen is suited for those with heavy-handed writing as well!)
    • Easy to write with, and doesn't strain my hand for a long time, even compared to good pens like the Pilot G2 or UniBall Stylo
    • Now with your right hand touch directly below your index finger's knuckle near the thumb region
    • Writes smoothly and evenly even in unskilled hands.
    • All over my hands and smudges all over the paper
    • fantastic every day pen, smooth writing and great hand feel
    • The grip is nice and wide, so my hand doesn't cramp up as much as it would with your basic Bic
    • Smooth as can be and getting better the more I use it
    • The nib is a joy, thin to my tastes, with an almost impossible to miss sweet spot
    • The pen feels great in the hand and extended writing sessions are not so fatiguing as with my super fat cigar shaped fountain pens, which I also love
    • I think this, plus a very fine emory board will make it just about perfect as the nib itself is still a little rough under magnification
