No matter how many time I took care to clean it or be careful, it just leaked and my hands always had ink on them.
-
It also comes with a refillable ink well which is very nice.
-
Ink is like life - the pen is the journey you describe it with
-
The ink itself might be the problem for the line thickness in writing
-
Another super nice ink pen from Pilot/Namiko
-
and I like having the option of buying replaceable ink cartridges or refilling your
-
Ink is available cheap (I use the cartridges for convenience)
-
It's a much better low price pen than the Lamy Safari which has inconsistent ink flow in the nibs, for all units tried.
-
Converter it comes with is intolerable, so I recommend the Con-50, or if you want to hold more, use the cartidges it comes with and refill them with a better ink using a syringe from Gouletpens.com
-
You won't be fully satisfied with this pen until you buy better ink
-
Perfect ink flow, perfect grip size, and it looks great
-
, ink will run- Bleeds through paper; most (if not all) of my notebooks, graph paper, journals, it bleeds through (like a sharpy marker)
-
Great quality, writes better than expected with a good, even ink distribution
-
Make sure you are writing on good paper because the ink is quite wet and will bleed out on paper that can't handle fountain pens
-
Some customers don't even realize and just go for it, splattering ink all over the page
-
Likes Pilot, Parker, Waterman type inks that are free flowing.
-
But Damn,This pen is singlehandedly the smoothest ink dispenser ever used by me
-
The fine nib is too scratchy and it skips ink too much for my taste, so I recommend the medium nib.
-
Wires smoothly, ink flows every time, comfortable in my hand
-
Not smooth, ink was not clear
-
The ink isn't my favorite, but that's an easy fix.
-
I may recommend the Fine nib for cheaper paper like mead or school paper, but this one worked pretty well without bleed through, but it does require the right ink.
-
Works well ink does get everywhere.
-
It gives such lovely dark lines and the ink dries quickly
-
(the ink will leak onto carpeting or clothing if the nib of the pen is up against it).
-
The ink leaks a but in the
-
Don't worry about the Pilot ink recommendation, you can use any ink you want in this pen with a converter
-
Within the span of writing one letter, it will not write at all and then spew ink
-
Note that the Metropolitan Pilots require proprietary ink cartridges--not just any old cartridge will work.
-
Nib is smooth with great ink flow.
-
Fountain pens, more so for calligraphy, having fine tip writing, and the ink, oh the ink (expensive!) that you have to replace when you
-
The ink well only lasted 2 weeks
-
The ink is darker than my ballpoint pens- however you need to watch for ghosting or bleed through on cheaper paper
-
Medium wastes too much ink.
-
It gives such lovely dark lines and the ink dries quickly
-
My only gripe: it doesn't have consistent ink flow when I write because I'm left handed
-
Not smooth, ink was not clear
-
Being a medium nib, it does lay down some ink, but it dries quickly on regular paper.
-
The real advantage to this pen is that it does come with a converter as well as a large sized black ink cartridge
-
Pen leaked ink upon first use
-
I love the look of this pen and it has a nice ink flow
-
The first pen was cracked and leaked ink everywhere but the replacement they sent out is doing fine :) my hubby loves his new pen!
-
Writes extremely well and has a good ink-flow!
-
Started right away from the first inking, no skipping issues, smooth nib, the ink looks saturated, dirt cheap
-
In addition, the press converter does not seem to be able to hold much ink, and I usually have to refill frequently due to poor ink flow
-
Good quality ink, does not go through the pages.
-
It will constantly leak ink all inside of the cap
-
I would prefer to use some beautiful up-scale inks and you cannot load ink into the disposable Varsity, but its superiority in all other regards wins any competition between the Varsity and the pen here, the Metro
-
Smooth nib, excellent ink flow
-
It's heavy as hell, especially when the cap is on, and when it falls--as expected--ink gets all into the cap and over your fingers when you write with it again.
-
Ink is available cheap (I use the cartridges for convenience)
-
Writes wonderful, smooth even ink flow.
-
Ink: I did buy nice ink to use with this pen
-
I like very much that the nib is not to "angle sensitive" and writes very well with good ink flow
-
To maximize the fill you need to hold the nib in the ink (up to the section) and squeeze the converter, let it suck up ink for a few seconds, and repeat a few times
-
Unlike any other I've used, the ink seems very stable and NEARLY smudge-proof after it dries (even with a wet finger).
-
Also is a little unusual to fill since you don't know if you're pulling in enough ink ... you just guess- Does dry out pretty quick with the lid off (i.e. while I think about what to write next ...)
-
This pen is very smooth with nice ink flow
-
It continues to provide smooth ink flow and writing across all types of papers, including regular cheap copier paper.
-
and I like that it uses cartridges for easy, mess-free ink changes.
-
The pen doesn't have good ink flow
-
The ink dries quickly so you don't have to worry about it smearing if you are a lefty or a righty with a smudge worthy hand.
-
After a day or two I had to wash the whole nib assembly to clear the dried out ink
-
is that the pen will leak ink into the cap on occasion
-
The ink is amazing and last a long time.
-
The original ink from Pilot also tended to bleed through the cheap paper we use at work, but this problem has been solved by switching to Noodler's Black ink.
-
Very smooth writing with good ink flow
-
It is impossible to clean off the ink too
-
I still prefer the darker ink from the fountain pens
-
ink still bleeds out all over my fingers when I write
-
Sometimes the nib will leak ink on the back end
-
If I had not already known the proper ink to use, how to assemble the pen and fill the ink cartridge, I would have been lost.
-
It writes very smooth and ink cartridges are easy to buy on amazon
-
With the Noodler's, the nib is very smooth and the ink flows well
-
Good ink flow, the two pens I've been through were slightly on the wet side; good for fast cursive or for chinese characters.
-
I don't see any cracks or other damage, and have cleaned and inserted fresh ink cartridges
-
Pilot makes great pens, my favorite ink pen was the G2
-
The noodle ink caused problems for an earlier pen of the same make but all other inks work well
-
unusable.its nib is far superior to lamy in my opinion, however, i prefer the overall light weight and look of the lamy, as well as the the ink indicator.
-
Some papers will seem to suck the ink from the pen while other papers the ink will flow nicely and lightly upon the surface.
-
great ink flow and just a joy to use.
-
The ink dries quickly and using the replaceable cartridges makes it easy to refill it
-
It has a good weight and great ink flow
-
On another note, lefties won't smear the ink on their hands.
-
like the pen, writes well, smooth ink flow
-
Good quality ink included.
-
Ink converter easy to refill
-
The ink doesn't bleed through pages as I thought it would (normal notebook paper)
-
so the ink wont bleed through and you will be set!.
-
I still prefer the darker ink from the fountain pens
-
Sometimes spurts ink, but I like it
-
It takes a little time to get used to, and it includes enough spare ink to give you enough time to get the hang of it.
-
The nib does get a little messy as certain inks dribble out, but nothing to worry about; it still looks great and functions fantastically
-
The included ink is great to get you started and should last you, with normal everyday use, about a months worth
-
The ink is replaceable.
-
Wonderful, I like it
-
smooth, simplistic, and beautiful I just love it
