Pilot Metropolitan Collection Fountain Pen, Black Barrel, Classic Design, Medium Nib, Black Ink (91107)

    • It puts down just the right amount of ink, quite a wet line, but not too much.
    • If you like a fine line, you'll love this pen.
    • If you like a finer line the fine nib may be a better choice than the medium
    • It gives such lovely dark lines and the ink dries quickly
    • The line is pretty fat, I'll look for something slimmer in my next pen.
    • The ink flows smoothly from the tip, resulting in even lettering and consistent lines through out
    • On a good piece of paper, this medium-nib pen glides right along -- extremely smooth and pleasant to write with -- and it makes a nice, neat line
    • Very smooth and very nice line thickness
    • On fountain pen compatible paper, the lines are very crisp.
    • If you're interested in using the pen to ink drawings, It will give you nice crisp dark lines, but don't buy this hoping that it will give you any sort of line weight diversity
    • The pen writes well, it has a smooth line, especially on paper that isn't too absorbent
    • It write a fine line, and when combined with Noodler's ink, writes consistently and without feathering, blotting, or skipping - no matter how fast or slow you write
    • Smooth and even lines
    • If you want thin, consistent lines, then this pen is a superior choice
    • I can get a skinny line and a fat line that is about twice as thick without trying hard
    • The lines are rich with color and are very beautiful
    • If you're interested in using the pen to ink drawings, It will give you nice crisp dark lines, but don't buy this hoping that it will give you any sort of line weight diversity
    • Outstanding pen, holds a steady line, clean and consistent.
    • It delivers a smooth, fine line and is perfect for my Moleskine journal, as well as my Picadilly TN inserts
    • The bottom line is the prefer the finer nib
    • With soft pressure (much less than a ballpoint) it still makes a really dark black line
    • I would suggest getting the fine point instead of medium unless you like a pretty thick line
    • Great lines, flow is just amazing
    • Varsity(but with a finer line), but looks and feels so much better
    • i prefer a thick, bold line
    • Instead it had a ball at the end for more consistent lines.
    • The ink snaps right in (haven't used the converter, and don't really plan to -- cartridge is good enough for me), the pen writes super smoothly, solid lines but only bleeds through super cheap printer paper (so far), and I can leave it for 4-5 days before the ink starts to 'dry' or whatever (meaning, I have to run it down a page a few times to get it flowing again).Excellent pen, excellent price.
    • It gives such lovely dark lines and the ink dries quickly
    • It lays down a nice, slightly wet line, virtually never skips.
    • The line thickness is a bit thin for a medium, but I prefer finer lines anyway so this doesn't bother me at all.
    • EASY INSTANT SUCCESS.Great flow, incredibly fine line, great pen
    • Although the nib is medium, it has a nice line and pretty fine
    • Considering it comes with an internal sac for ink filling, this pen is a really good value if you like a pen with a nice thick line.
    • that is extremely smooth and lays down a nice thick line.
    • Slightly thicker line works for my writing style
    • The medium nib gives a perfect smooth line
    • After using it for a while, I can get pretty good line variation for a standard steel nib
    • Writes every time, a good line and the right weight and feel.
    • Smooth writing, high quality build, nice thin line
    • I find that holding the pen so that the nib is at an angle (roll, not pitch) results in the smoothest line
    • a good value, and worth the price, but a finer line than i was expecting.
    • Lays down a nice true medium line, unlike most pilots that a medium is more fine
    • It feels like money, writes with a strong, crisp line
    • In fact, I love it so much l just bought a second one along with some Noodlers ink
    • Wonderful, I like it
    • smooth, simplistic, and beautiful I just love it
    • I’ve used this exact pen with the fine nib before and not had a problem but this pen can’t decide if it doesn’t write at all, or if it wants to put out so much ink that an ‘e’ looks like a filled in black circle
