I purchased only the nest (nothing additional for my forefinger hold), and it keeps my whole hand in the right position
-
The only trouble I have with the pinkinest is that it morphs slightly upon heavy play, making it not hold in place as well as I had hoped, and guides my pinky to the wrong position if I'm not careful to re-place the nest occasionally
-
It works great to correct pinky position.
-
But by then, his positioning had improved and he no longer needed it
-
Still, one month after it's removal, he has excellent positioning and is no longer "all over the place" with his bow
-
Although, it is a lot heavier than the Pinkinest (which was the very reason I bought the Pinkinest) the Bow Hold Buddy will put each finger in a correct position, regardless to the size of your hand (because of their two, separate parts) and, the well has the shape to fit the pinky in a slight angle, as the pinky will naturally land on top of the Frog.
-
Perfect for reinforcing proper positioning.
-
It is training me quite quickly to naturally place my hand in quite an unnatural position
-
but once you customize it; This is excellent as a back stop for waving pinkie; also helps to steady thumb position
-
He has been trying to work on his positioning for a long time now with little success, lapsing back into less than desirable positioning as soon as he stops thinking about the position
