Pioneer DEH-S5000BT CD Receiver with Improved Pioneer ARC App Compatibility, MIXTRAX, Built-in Bluetooth, and Color Customization

    • The display is bright and has a number of settings to display the clock, artist, etc
    • It's true that the display is somewhat dim in direct, bright daylight (and even harder to see if you wear polarized sunglasses like I do), but it's not that big a deal
    • Just one thing really, but the display is way too dim and recessed too deeply behind a very reflective face bezel.
    • And the display can be set to dim when the headlights are turned on so that you aren't blinded by your radio at night.
    • The display is a little garish and cheap-looking, but can be turned down to a reasonable brightness and color
    • Great radio sound do not like the display
    • The display is too dim on the highest brightness level
    • Another thing to mention is the display is very difficult to read during the day
    • As others have said, the display is really difficult to read in sunlight
    • The display could be better.
    • The display is SO dim and has SO much glare that it is absolutely unreadable (at least, in my car) in even indirect daylight, let alone direct sunlight.
    • At night, or in less intense daylight, the display is very bright
    • The other big minus is the display is too dim so you can't see it in the day time.
    • The display isn't bright enough.
    • Unit can download your phone book so you can make calls through the unit itself and set presets for favorite contactsThe wiring harness can be unplugged, which is nice for doing the splicing into the other half of the harnessYou can adjust the volume of each input so that the volumes are uniform as you switch between themEasy to navigate through the options and menusUSB port can be used for charging phoneCons:That display just can not be bright enough
    • The Bluetooth is super convenient and the display is gorgeous
    • downBottom Line: My one main complaint is that darned display, but it's one of those things where you put so much work into installing it, it's not worth changing it
    • Its hard to review this, as I would say that overall I am very happy with it, but I would also not buy it again as the display can be frustrating
    • I've tried adjusting the colors, some are easier to read than others but overall, in my case, the display is difficult to read when its sunny.2
