BUT one thing everyone FAILS to

First off the great/good things about the PS2 Entertainment System.+Backwards compatible with PlayStation/PSOne games.+A built

As a DVD player the PS2 has really been used to the max and I have only good things to say about that

The only things that frustrate me is that you have to get a thing to be able to play with 4 players and you have to buy the memory cards, but it's worth it

It is my favorite thing ever

I had a N64 at first, but upgraded striaght to a PS2.I think it was one of the smartest things I have done.

The only thing that matters is that it works and it does, so thank you!

Now you can save your money for more important things like video games

Good thing I bought one thinking i would have 2 but no such luck. was very disappt

But the good things are it's a nifty little piece of technology - very sturdy and small

only thing wrong with the playstation is that after 2 years or so, it just stops reading discs.

ps2 is great, ok same thing im going to say ps2 has more games,

but I've seen demos and heard good things about it

The controller isn't a big beastly thing with 100 buttons

This thing is a a tank

The only thing you can really hear is the murderous screech of the fan.

Some of these are more prevalent on PS1, but the great thing about this system is the ability to still play games that are obsolete technologically, but still fun nonetheless

the little kids department (like mario,zelda,etc.)+ gamecube steals alot of ps2's games cause it cant think of there own games the only good thing about it is that it has 4 controller ports thats it

The best thing about its' online setup is that you don't have to have dsl/cable to play it, you can use dial-up unlike xbox.

It's the best thing since Goldeneye 64

Supposedly, this does good things for the system

the grafics are amazing, the games are trully outstanding, every thing is perfect

And that problem with the stupid thing overheating

even if there is mod's for xbox , there is not a better thing that installing a modchip to your ps2 .. believe me you'll enjoy it better..jajajaja [email protected]

my best friend having all the systems. not to mention that you can use your gemeboy advance as a controller with entireky seperate menu screens, and even more completely amazing things, especially for rpg's.

With its massive library of fun and diverse games as well as it's backwards compatibility to the ps1, nothing will ever come close to how great this thing was and still is.

This thing sucks.

One more thing I don't like is how you can only have 2 player

I love this thing, and I'd have to say it was more than worth the money!

This is likely thanks to the PS3's rather late entry into the competition, but regardless, it was still a good thing for the PS2

But the thing still works great and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Anyone with past experience with a console knows that, so they must have had a complete idiot package the thing

Good thing I brought a book with me to read that day

I mean it may not have as good graphics as the xbox or gamecube but the game selection is the widest and best out of all of the systems,and come to think of it the graphics are pretty good in the ps2.The good thing is that the ps2 has violent,shooter,child,sports games etc

I think it's the best thing you can get your child for the holidays.

Pros - Slightly better graphics than PS2, online multiplayer function, built in hard drive, 4 controller portsCons - You must buy a stupid thing to play DVD's, online multiplayer function is NOT free, big confusing controllers, online multiplayer function isn't even that good, designed by Microsoft (I await the day where someone will be blue screened while playing HALO)PS2:Pros - Smaller, CAN be used as a portable system, online multiplayer function, plays DVD's straigt out of the box, AWESOME non-confusing controllers, ability to play PSX gamesCons - Hard drive costs extra, multiplayer network adapter costs extra, only 2 controller portsPS2 = Much better

So that is one cool thing you can do.

such as;Grand Theft Auto,Metal Gear Solid,Splinter Cell,WWE games,The Getaway games,Jak And Daxter games,Ratchet and Clank LOADS OF GAMES!+PlayStation 2 has various colors and sizes(e.g regular black,regular silver,black slimline and silver slimline)The bad things about the PS2 are;-Kinda weak jig-jaggy graphics.-kind of faulty:here are some of the faults;.Sometimes the console fails to read discs and ends up saying "DISC READ ERROR" while playing a game..have difficulties reading PURPLE/BLUE backed discs

Back in '95 when Playstation was released, it was the coolest thing to date

We got our playstation today and good thing we decided to order an extra controller because our PS2 didn't come with one.. Or a remote for the dvd function

The only thing I didn't like was that the Sender wrote "PS2" on the side of the box

Yeah the thing worked, but it would not read any ps2 games

The Xbox quit early because a lot of companies went straight to Sony and Gamecube never really had that many games they did not want any violent games and focus on Gameboy advance and DS.The best thing about the Playstation 2 is that it has very type of game that is popular like Final

a good thing to do is make sure it dosent get to dusty and keep rubbing alchol around
