Reviews around look (5.00 of 5)

  • It is a really good looking game but there are some issues with the touch controls that hold it back from being perfect.
  • The only other game I bought is Wipeout 2048 and it is a fantastic looking futuristic racing game
  • Uncharted - Definitely the sharpest looking game that I tried.
  • I downloaded Street Fighter vs Tekken and it is also a great looking game
  • The weight of the device felt balanced, and while the Vita is "big" to the eye, it is not heavy to the touch and has a nice sleek look to it.

Reviews around handheld (5.00 of 5)

  • With (in my opinion) the best launch lineup of any console in the history of videogames, I really believe the Vita is the best handheld ever created
  • I really wanted a great handheld system, one that was powerful.
  • Even though it has tablet-wannabe ambitions at times, in the end the Vita is a solid handheld gaming system for people who CARE about and LOVE games - plain and simple.
  • PS Vita itself is the most powerful handheld to date and is a pity that it was not supported as it should
  • In the past week or so that I have owned this device, it has shown promise of not only being one of the best gaming handheld systems thus far, but has shown me that it holds many means for communicational capabilities for text/voice chat, and provides many means of entertainment through Netflix, the PS Store, picture/video recording, and many other apps (and of course, a really awesome launch title library of games!)I hope to see many more features for the PlayStation Vita

  • Golden Abyss, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Little Deviants and Escape Plan
  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss - This game is the reason why people will want to get the Vista
  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, and wipEout 2048

Reviews around work (5.00 of 5)

  • The front touchscreen works extremely well and all in all I was impressed at Sony's (albeit late) foray in to the world of touch handheld gaming devices.
  • Near works very well to see who is around you and what they are playing.
  • Super reflective glossy screen, not very easy to see unless in a dark roomUI is child like something you would see on nintendo junk with bubble style buttonsRemote play works for nothing unless you like to play old tired games
  • The accelerometer works quite well and is quite sensitive to small movements
  • Remote Play currently only works for Mini's and PSOne games(But will not directly play PSOne games), it is very easy to set up(Register your Vita to your PS3 via Remote Play Settings, using my Skyrim Dynamic Theme on the Vita's remote play, there is a little big of lag unfortunatly, but I'm not sure if that is wifi related or what, every video played from your PS3 is playable on your Vita, and the quality is amazing.

Reviews around system (4.65 of 5)

  • (The Vita is region free and the system is still expensive).
  • The system works great, love the two touch screens, and dual joy sticks great
  • The system works great, love the two touch screens, and dual joy sticks great
  • The Vita is the first portable game system that actually has the firepower to change the portable gaming market.
  • So far the only issues I have are with the system menus and how different they are from Sony's previous systems

Reviews around console (4.64 of 5)

  • First off the Vita is the best handheld console to date period
  • I don't think that is a major issue either as the Vita is a portable console.
  • The console is good but remember folks, its the games that matter
  • If this is the type of game that one could expect on Vita, we finally have next gen visuals and gameplay on a portable console
  • Graphics wise the console is very capable but your mileage may vary depending on your game

Reviews around device (4.49 of 5)

  • fantastic device, very sexy, very easy to use , very fun, the screen is beautiful
  • Overall it is a fantastic device and I recommend it to any and everyone
  • In overall, I declare this the best mobile gaming device on the market as of September 2012.
  • Extremely cool device to take with you anywhere; got traffic jams while on the passenger seat in a car?
  • The device istself is wonderful, despite a few features lacking

Reviews around control (4.49 of 5)

  • Purists will no doubt not like the controls because the touch screen may be too `easy'
  • Is controlled only via touch controls but worry not, it works great.
  • All I can say is that the screen is gorgeous, the controls feel good and it is light weight
  • The device has a beautiful, large screen, and the controls are much improved from the PSP.
  • The controls are much improved over the Playstation Portable

Reviews around screen (4.33 of 5)

  • Speaking of the games, the OLED screen is crisp and sharp
  • It does leave things open, so if you open your trophies, you need to swipe the trophy launch screen to close it or it will stay open in the background, not a big deal.
  • The extra 2 years will serve to be very helpful if you ever need to have your battery replaced by Sony, or for accidental damage, so I recommend buying that, especially if you have kids that like to play with things and have no idea what they are doing when they throw your vita on the ground shattering the screen
  • The Vita has a beautiful screen and the games look amazing
  • The screen and the trackpad thing on the back are very responsive

Reviews around gaming (4.32 of 5)

  • I loved my original PSP just because i enjoy portable gaming on handheld consoles
  • Maybe I'm just used to the iPad's screen but the Vita feels outdated, like a year and a half too late (3G is basically useless, especially with AT&T - so why no 4G?).Add on to that, the d control buttons that you can't press in like on the PS3, the controls just feel a bit quirky.
  • As the title states above, this is one of the many reasons I love the PlayStation Vita; web browsing! This powerhouse of a device we call a portable gaming device is much more than that
  • I have owned literally every single portable gaming system I can think of...from the original game boy to the Atari Lynx and now the Vita.
  • The Vita is the first portable game system that actually has the firepower to change the portable gaming market.

Reviews around sony (4.30 of 5)

  • It is nice that Sony didn't include this as an extra accessory after the fact, that would have annoyed me to no end.
  • yes there are gonna be some glitches; sony is sooooo sorry
  • Sony has released other handheld gaming systems, like the PSP and PSP Go, but the Vita greatly surpasses those in quality, entertainment, and potential
  • Hopefully Sony fixes a few things as time progresses in order to make the Vita an all around better product (not just for gaming).
  • Flash is not supported (Sony asked Adobe to support flash on the

Reviews around case (3.79 of 5)

  • The 4GB card is on the small side but the case is excellent
  • You get of course the Vita itself, a very nice carrying case, power adapter, memory card and a pack in game.
  • The hard leather case is nothing special but since it's limited quantity Sony wants to make it seem like you're getting something unique for buying this bundle.
  • The case is nice, and honestly I wanted this the most out of this pack of extras (I know, sad).To sum it
  • The front and back both have glass so getting two screen protectors might be prudent and a hard case for travel wouldn't be unwise

Reviews around vita (3.68 of 5)

  • Why would you do that, Sony?!And to top it all off, the Vita I got, for which I waited a month, was defective!
  • Needless to say I love my Vita and recommend it with high regard!!!
  • With that said, the memory card is of closed format to prevent hackers from hacking the Vita
  • The Vita blurs the line between handheld and console gaming
  • I love my PS Vita, the graphics, games, touch response and everything about the little gadget

Reviews around browser (2.31 of 5)

  • Swiping up and down navigates across the app icon screens, touching an icon opens an app just like normal, peeling a screen from the top right corner will close an app and swiping left to right cycles through the open apps (you can have up to 6 apps open).Apps open and close very fast although the browser in operation is slow
  • Loads websites as a desktop browser instead of a mobile browser, which I like
  • When I want something light Little Deviants, Marvel vs Capcom r there for the easy going.
  • I don't think this is a major issue (even the PS3's browser is pretty bad) but it is something that Sony should fix if they want to push the Vita beyond its current labeled niche of being just a gaming console
  • Overall Score: 8/10Pros: screen size, two analog sticks, graphically very impressive, great sound, lot of control options, multitasking, good d-padCons: awful browser, poor camera quality, proprietary memory/cables, need to format system to switch PSN IDs

Reviews around birds (1.95 of 5)

  • Just know that it's not Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja booting up
  • games(Even if you have them digitally downloaded), hell, you can't even download the mini Angry Birds yet.
  • However, putting in Little Deviants for some of the mini-games using the camera and AR aspects is, on the other hand, cool and something I would show to people, but it's just that horrible, horrible toys r us inspired interface.
  • When I want something light Little Deviants, Marvel vs Capcom r there for the easy going.
  • It will be an expectation that Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, etc. are on this system and are updated regularly for the single purchase price.

Reviews around memory (1.92 of 5)

  • When I want something light Little Deviants, Marvel vs Capcom r there for the easy going.
  • The memory is way overpriced.- No ability to have multiple PSN accounts on the same system.
  • For those of us who download games a lot from the PS Store, memory will become a problem and we all know Sony is not known for cutting us slack on prices
  • the screen is awesome looks great and is very responsive memory card is a draw back becouse u have to have a ps vita memroy card camera good be better
  • However, putting in Little Deviants for some of the mini-games using the camera and AR aspects is, on the other hand, cool and something I would show to people, but it's just that horrible, horrible toys r us inspired interface.

Reviews around people (1.69 of 5)

  • Maybe it should be compared to a Nintendo DS.Hopefully, this helps that lazy people not wanting to read very long reviews.
  • I don't see why people are making such a fuss about memory cards.
  • I assume enough people are going to complain about this terrible feature that it will be patched in the near future.

Reviews around att (1.54 of 5)

  • Connecting to FB to share trophies and purchases was just as easy as on the PS3
  • Too bad ATT/Sony didn't include a direct web signup for your PC, but because of device recognition, you have to do it initially through the Vita, unless you already have a PS3 account from another Sony device
  • If you don't, you'll go to the overwhelmed ATT website, and suddenly your input will start delaying, then, the screen will freeze with black or blue death
  • ATT WILL email the heck out of you, including giving you the ghost number you can't use
  • Also, if you blow the first attempt, on the second, the auto fill for your device sometimes won't work, and ATT won't recognize the device because the two long ID's will be missing

Reviews around pixel (1.00 of 5)

  • Others have reported dead pixels, and many have reported corrupted PSP save files
  • no dead pixels awesome a plus for any device,I have had a blast with the system really cool features and shows it's potential to be the king of handelds,at this moment there doesn't seem to be that many good games, besides Uncharted and some brawlers
  • People were complaining about dead/stuck pixels, mine had
  • Mine came with a dead pixel, i called Amazon and told them what i had found, they had me a brand new one shipped out same day to come the next day

Reviews around usb (1.00 of 5)

  • Charging the system is done through an included proprietary USB cable
  • Plus you can't use one of the 5000 USB cables you have lying around like you could with the PSP.
  • The ports all have nice beefy lids that soft-snap into place (the headphone jack and proprietary USB port don't have covers for convenience's sake).
  • Proprietary software, proprietary USB port, proprietary memory card, proprietary proprietarity.
