The switch to this Polk center channel offered an incredible mid and high range difference and improvement

Seems to have a good range, and the clean black design and shape are definitely nice.

It is so full of dynamic sound range.

and I was able to achieve a fantastically clear mid-range that I was just not able to get with my always too tinny or too bassy shelf speakers.

This is a fairly substantial center channel speaker - a well-made & very good-sounding unit... 2 small woofers (more like mid-range drivers) & a tweeter... when running my system at fairly high levels, I can feel a substantial amount of air being pumped out the rear port... works well w/ my Yamaha 5.1 Surround receiver (100w/channel RMS)... sounds good, reasonable price, I'm happy w/ it...

In my opinion they work great to fill in some of the mid range the loud speakers were lacking as for voices in movies and also
