I do not trust it for my expensive guitars

Not as sturdy as I had hoped...not easy to place guitar in this stand...possibility of tipping over and damaging the guitar.

I did not like this guitar stand for following reasons: first, not good for acoustic / electric guitar especially if amp cable plugs in bottom or close to bottom

The only thing is it can be a little tricky setting a guitar squarely on to it, but still manageable

I don't think I would trust it to secure a valuable guitar at a public venue, though.

Also, the guitar seats well within the brackets and is not easily budged.

The solution was to unplug my cable jack from my guitar & the guitar fits like a glove

You want to trust a priceless guitar and example of first-rate craftsmanship to a poorly constructed $12 plastic stand, be my guess.

It's light, very compact, yet holds up my guitar like a pro!

GUITAR FITS PERFECT

As with the fender, I can see the rubber piece on the bottom wear out from placing the guitars on it after some time, but no other concerns

Only downside is that since the top isn't supported, if someone walks by and hits it, the guitar can easily be knocked over.

If you need a sturdy guitar stand, do not buy this one

They did however correct their product description and now say this is for a classical guitar instead of a "classic" guitar.

I would use this at home-where portability isn't necessary, but the price and function is good- and probably for gigs when I'm playing solo--where I want to travel light and wouldn't have to worry about someone else bumping into it and easily knocking my guitar over

but I mostly bought it to just hold a guitar on my fireplace hearth so it works great for that!

My guitar (yamaha silent) was not able to sit on the bottom brackets without the bottom screw of the guitar touching the floor, so I had to tilt the guitar back further, making it a bit unstable

My main concern was with how steady my guitar would have been on it.

Not secure enough for all-the-time display (pets or kiss could tip your guitar forward easily)

Granted I have two dogs, two kids, and a Roomba vacuum, but the bottom line is that this is a flimsy stand best for travel and not suitable to securing a guitar

It was very reasonably priced, its sturdy, has rubber on it so your guitar sits comfortably and won't scratch or slide around, its light weight, and folds up to where you could carry it around in your hand if you needed to while traveling
