The extreme post-its have a stronger adhesive than the regular ones

Adhesive will pull ink off of printed paper, and ballpoint pens don't like to write on the glossy surface of these notes.

They actually had a previous better note many years ago that had a stronger adhesive that was intended to stick to a wider range of surfaces
