Power Home HiFi Stereo Amplifier - 90 Watt Portable Dual Channel Surround Sound Audio Receiver w/ 12V Adapter - For Subwoofer Speaker, MP3, iPad, iPhone, Car, Marine Boat, PA System - Pyle PFA300

    • Started off working great, however this past week I noticed a silent right speaker
    • You get lots of distortion with this amp cranked up if you use crappy computer stereo speakers
    • I have a digital recording system and a pair of nice monitor speakers.
    • I feed it a 12db boost at 50 Hz from my laptop and it provides enough oomph to get shocked compliments from bass-junky teenager students, even with my relatively wimpy speakers salvaged from a 20-year old component system
    • Removed the guts of an old tube set 1956 Buick radio and replaced with this and new speakers (although the old speaker sounded decent with this amp, too).
    • I now mainly use it on a set of nice quality bookshelf speakers, and I freakin' love it
    • I plugged the speakers into my old amp, and it worked perfectly
    • It's so clean, it makes me hate my old speakers
    • But after the second use, the right speaker output just died
    • The speakers make toned bass just fine when plugged into my receiver, so I'm blaming this amp.
    • Sounds just as good as the speakers it powers
    • After reading so many reviews I was worried about ordering one of these small amps, but they work great and power my outdoor speakers great
    • We've got great sound and no more loud humming from bad tv speakers etc.
    • Combine this with some decent 2.0 bookshelf speakers and you will blow any TV speakers or computer speakers out of the water.
    • I personally have some nice bookshelf speakers from the 90s that I hooked it up to
    • Combine this with some decent 2.0 bookshelf speakers and you will blow any TV speakers or computer speakers out of the water.
    • Powers up 4 small 8 0hm speakers really well
    • Stopped working about a month after purchase, for some time right speaker would not work unless I power cycle it multiple times
    • Even added a sub-woofer to tower speakers and worked like a charm
    • This amp makes them sound amazing, but if you have some cheap crappy speakers, then this amp will not do you any good
    • but it has an annoying speaker protecter and shuts it on and off
    • With the volume on the amp at about 75%, the speakers are far louder than I would ever have them for any kind of reasonable listening, including an outdoor party.
    • Connected to PC sound card and Pioneer CS 454 speakers - Good sound, loud enough (40% of volume for normal music listening).
    • After a few months, would only power the right speaker.
    • The quality of the direct pass through feature is actually worse than that of cheap mini speakers, but using the "tune" button and adjusting the treble and bass provides improved sound quality and more than enough volume
    • You can turn it all the way up without worrying about destroying your speakers and it does manage to this without distorting as much as many other amps will
    • The first and HUGE con is that the mp3/aux input circuitry had a bad solder or component that created a rapid-fire electrical short which ruined my speakers
    • The speakers were fine, but all I ever used the unit for anymore was streaming music from the Internet... so I put this on the shelf instead and used the existing speakers.
    • does the job well and will definitely help overpower a smaller apartment with decent speakers
    • The bottom line is that the amp worked perfectly and transmitted a clear signal that left us marveling at how good our speakers sound.
    • I browsed through several units on Amazon but was unsure which to purchase to run my Fisher DS-128 because I didn't want to blow the speakers...or the amp.
    • I am almost sure that complaints about distortion from online users is from them pairing this amp with crappy speakers that can't handle a lot of watts
    • The speakers sound great and this tiny little amp is the perfect size for my bedroom(anything gawdy would've been a problem for my girlfriend) works exactly as advertised no complaints whatsoever.
    • I alreadyhad a pair of passive speakers that I could hook up to the
    • Like ANY amp, You can't expect it to work as you would expect if the sound source is turned all the way up/down or 1/2 way etc...which I would like to add can be a benefit or hindrance
