Only down side is no vent, but I just keep the lid on with a slight crack to allow steam to vent, works fine.

The sealable lid works perfectly for meals that require " heat and then cover" processing.

I'm very pleased with this item -- the lid seals tightly and does not leak, it is of sturdy construction and even tomato based soups do not discolor the lid.
