It took me sharpening over half the pencil to get a semi usable point

One of the pencils kept breaking its point and had to be sharpened down to nearly half its original size before the lead stopped breaking.

The colors are very smooth and I can get a pretty good point without it breaking

They are good but the eraser doesn't work very well and that kind of ruins the point of these "Erasable colored pencils" although they do work if you sketch very lightly.

They sharpen to very fine points and the lead has not cracked or broken at all so far for me

I'd say these pencils wear away just as slowly as kids' colored pencils like Crayola, but with stronger colors and equally strong lead, if not stronger considering how easily I can get them to a fine point (that may be due to wood quality and perfect centering considering the strength of the colors)

The wood is soft and crackles and breaks when sharpened with my fine point Kum sharpener (I love that sharpener; you should see what it can do with a Palomino 602 or even a Ticonderoga)

These pencils (12) arrived unsharpened, and the points on several continue to break.

It took 17 turns of each pencil in the sharpener to reach i fine point until I came to the Violet color one,

My only problem is that for a few of the when I sharpen them the lead tends to break or snap off before I've gotten them to a fine point

She likes the harder "lead" for sharpening to a very fine point (with my Carl Angel pencil sharpener

I use these pencils mostly for loose sketches in my larger sketchbook or on standard printer paper, They don't keep a point well, so any small sketches become muddied after one or two lines

These are fantastic for drawing and goes down smoothly and keeps a sharp point.

They are sturdy, hold a good point, and the color is easy to drop out after scanning

With both sets I found myself having to sharpen them frequently, they just worked better with a nice sharp point.
