First bought a set as part of a Lightning Deal and I am in love with these soft-core pencils

No broken pencils or cores.
-
You have to lightly layer several times to get a deeper hue.-Buy a manual pencil sharpener that's specifically for soft cores
-
However, since they have soft cores, they are not so good for sharp detailing or drawing
-
The soft cores make them perfect for blending and the colors are rich and beautiful.
-
I spend more time sharpening the pencils because of the soft core
-
they are a soft core pencil & it is

If you are unsure or have not ever used these, the soft core pencil makes color almost glide

They are soft core, so the color is way more vibrant then the typical colored pencils

Although it's a softer core, it is very strong so you don't need to worry about breaking your fresh tip

High pigment, sore core means you don't have to press hard like other pencils
-
They are good, but I wish that the core was harder.
-
My mother loves these, she has arthritis and with the soft core, she does not have to press so hard
-
My only recommendation is that you shouldn't buy them for small children, as the soft core could break down much faster with small hands pressing on the paper too hard
-
very smooth soft core , and blend very well
-
I really wanted some with a softer core that would blend and color easier.
-
The cores of the pencils are soft and produce smooth lines.

half of the pencils have broken cores - even with the Prismacolor sharpener.

The cores are soft, so care must be used when drawing and when sharpening.

Love these soft core colored pencils.

The soft core breaks easily while coloring and sharpening even when trying to be very careful with them.
-
Great quality soft core pencils.
-
I don't know if they were damaged during transit, or if this is an inherent problem with soft core pencils, but the point breaks CONSTANTLY, and in only a few weeks of use, the majority of the pencils are only two inches big because I've sharpened them away
-
It says soft core and you can tell by the feeling when you use them
-
Bold colors and very soft core make this a #1 favorite!
-
Maybe I'll get lucky and find a purpose for a soft core color.
-
The soft core allows you to get a solid layer of color and smooth blending
-
it's like the core was broken inside the pencil.
-
My only recommendation is that you shouldn't buy them for small children, as the soft core could break down much faster with small hands pressing on the paper too hard

And given that these are soft core pencils and so prone to breakage, I suspect I’ll have trouble with them now, since they were just rattling around in the box.

The soft core breaks easily while coloring and sharpening even when trying to be very careful with them.
-
since the pencils are soft core, the tips wear down very quickly
-
It has the soft core which I love now that I see how great they
-
They can be a bit persnickety to sharpen at times though, but thats the price you pay for soft core blendable leads.
-
These are my first soft core pencils and I am in love with them
-
for them to be soft core I can press down and the lead doesn't break.

The cores of these pencils are nice and soft, but maybe too soft?I like them a lot, but I don't feel super excited about them like some of the other reviews
-
The only downfall I have found is that, because they are soft core pencils you go through your favorite colors quickly
-
Be careful sharpening, do it slowly as these are soft core pencils.
-
The core is soft, and is easy to spread and blend
-
Since they have such soft cores and lay down a lot of pigment, you can go through it and need to resharpen rather quickly
-
The pencils have such a soft core and do not break easily - you can press really hard and never have a problem.
-
Wonderful soft core pencils are, in a way, like coloring with sharp good-quality crayons
-
but I don't think you can have soft-core pencils that are particularly long-lasting
-
Since they have such soft cores and lay down a lot of pigment, you can go through it and need to resharpen rather quickly
