It easily holds both instruments inside their own hard shell cases with plenty of room to spare for instrument stands, cleaning rods, blotting papers, etc

The front compartment is easily accessible and can hold a piccolo case, two cleaning rods, a packet of pad paper, two cleaning cloths, two more cloths for the inside of your flute/picc, AND a metronome or tuner, all at the same time

I also like having the outside pocket available to hold my cleaning rod, metronome, flute stand, and any other items that can get in the way
