It definitely protects the ipad and is slim so not bulky.

The first one did crack on the bottom corners , so My iPad would not stay in it any longer.

Again, not the sellers fault, but think twice...then go lay down and think some more, then look all over for a different product if you are looking for something that will protect your expensive IPad...just saying...

Yes, I expected it to fit securely in the case but not to the extent that I would run the risk of breaking my iPad while getting it out.
