I bought an earlier model a few years ago and it lasted until I broke the carafe

But now I will replace it with a better carafe that may break, but not create a sea of glass all over my kitchen floor.

It doesn't drip down the side of the spout when pouring - a HUGE pet peeve of mine - and the flow from the basket actually stops if you remove the carafe to sneak an early cup
