I've heard good things about these, although the colors are nice and lay down well, I received one broken pencil, I had another tip break off when I tried to put it back in the plastic case and it was not aligned, it had no give at all, and snapped as soon as it touched, and a few crumbled as soon as I tried to use them, resharpening them has also been hard, the wood is of horrible quality, and the leads seem to shave off without really even sharpening

When you sharpen ANY and ALL of these pencils, the colored part breaks as soon as you try and draw

The reason I gave them a 4 star instead of a five star d because there are certain colors that break easy and continue to break as you sharpen them

I will enjoy using them for preliminary drawings of paintings as I like them very much, especially since there are different softnesses and hardnesses in this set.
