But I would recommend hooking up an additional speaker for a great volume

We were able to watch movie night under the stars with a clear screen and good volume

lots of bang for the buck; projection is nice and bright, the controls on top of the unit are well laid out (better than another cheap projector I picked up a while ago), the speaker is surprisingly loud, and it's got a 1/4"-20 standard camera mount underneath - pair this with a $3 adapter for a microphone

A semi dark room will not work - you can’t see much.
