Size is great, holding ten reeds but it is a little awkward to fit in a pocket
i would argue that it works for tenor because it will not close if you have 10 tenor reeds in it at once, but for alto and similarly sized reeds it will work just fine.

The Vandoren case that I have has a tendency to break open and scatter my reeds whenever it falls, the Protec case on the other hand does a great job of holding tight and not opening if dropped
