I am much more impressed with the build on this case, and how well it holds my horn

Protects the horn well and is easy to carry with shoulder strap

It is built solidly, it protects the horn well, and it accommodates my big bell horn easily (6 ½").

All in all, I feel like the horn is as secure and safe as it would be in any regular hard case.

But I wanted something that would protect my horn at the same time, it made me nervous to carry it around in a soft case.
