I tapped off of front left and right speakers to a pair of outdoor speakers

If you are using 8ohm speakers, you are only getting about half the output power depending on how efficient your speakers are (a SPL or efficency of over 90 is recommended).
-
I rarely turn the volume up past a certain point because the speakers get loud, very fast.
-
A couple days after I ordered, I sat down on the living room floor and made a couple of nice speaker cables from an old PA speaker cable and added banana plugs and heat shrink tubing to the ends, then, the UPS guy showed up.

I'm running two small cheap 3" pyle bookshelf speakers in an office, not at high volume, so the unit shouldn't have been taxed.
-
this amplifier provided the power I needed for the speakers I placed outside for music for relaxing outside and while I work in my garden.
-
Just installed it and find that it is a nice way to boost speaker's in my car to blend the high's in better.
-
I had to send one of these back to Amazon as they had defective speaker wire clamps and the item was replaced quickly with a good item.
-
Just don't blow your smaller speakers, packs a punch!
-
Maybe the speakers weren't efficient enough and maybe my i-pod & phone were dialed up too far, but it sounded horrible.
-
This tiny unit is able to drive small, efficient speakers to distortion without much effort, and delivers clean, well balanced sound
-
I don't like the fail-safe features built inside in order to "protect" the speaker if it's amplified too much.
-
At moderate-to-high volume the speakers sound clean and undistorted.
-
The effect on musical transients will probably be noticed by critical listeners with good headphones or speakers.
-
For that much go and buy these as well as some quality bookshelf speakers

I will say if you are looking for a little amp to hook up decent speakers (like the ones I have--Polk Audios) to an mp3 player, this amp DOES deliver for it does feature an MP3/aux in connection on the front of the unit.
