The rechargeable battery works well, and its simple to charge.

Out of curiosity I DID hook up my multi-meter to the included battery pack and it WAS 12.43 volts so the battery they supplied WAS good

It has good sound and a rechargeable battery that plugs right into the wall

The rechargeable battery is very nice and reduces the weight that 8 C batteries would add.

The megaphone portion works fine, but the rechargeable battery doesn't work and the MP3 connection broke after one use, without receiving any abuse

I spent more on the repair than the megaphone!Rechargeable batteries are great and the ability to plug into your audio source (i.e. iPod, iPhone, etc.) is a great option.
