I was honestly expecting cheap light plastic and mediocre quality but was surprised to see very solid build and sound quality for what you pay.

On the positive side, the XLR to "regular" jack cable was very good quality and I decided not to send back a $10 broken mike because I figured the cable alone was worth most of that money.
