You clean it with the cleaning cloth they provide, they dry it with the microfiber cloth they provide, then apply the liquid with the cloth they provide, and then wait five minutes and buff it out

It also leaves smudges that I can't seem to rub out with an appropriate cleaning cloth

Needless to say, I do not recommend t this product and would definitely invest in a real screen protector and a good case!
