Detachable cable is a plus

They work perfectly but the cable it comes with is not that great.

Those cables that come on them are annoying as hell.

I initially gave the ZS5's 4 stars due to the bare bones cheap cables included for the earphones, but will revise it accordingly as the earphones wear, provided the hardware holds up to normal use.

One complaint, the cable should be a little longer (about a foot longer).

Too bad the IEMs don't come with a better cable, but then I suppose they would have to be priced higher

$13 gets you a cable (if that) most of the time, and the ZS3s give an incredible sound for $13 (or frankly 50 as far as many companies go), they have reasonable build quality, and they have a detachable cable to boot

I like that they have a removable cable

And cable's detachable, meaning you won't have to replace the entire set if it gets snagged and stops performing

Another person had a similar issue and posted a question on Amazon so that is proof right there that the cable with the built in mic is defective from factory.

All that said, the cable is replaceable and I'm keen on getting one better suited for my height

The only down sides so far are that the cable is sticky and hard to keep untangled, and you have to be careful what kind of rubber tips you try on them as some kinds might slide off in your ear and require someone else to do an extraction with a pair of tweezers
