You can make the most of the dry-erase board if you use other general-purpose dry-erase markers (my all time favorites are these Quartet EnduraGlide Fine Tip Dry-Erase Markers, Assorted Colors, 4 Pack (5001-10M) (round tip) however they don't fit in the click-

The blue marker is very bright and shows great!

The board's own magnetic coating holds the included "punctuation" magnets well, and the ultra-smooth surface does very well with a decent dry-erase marker, erasing cleanly.

A standard Expo Fine Tip marker can just barely fit in (I don't know if it has long term side-effects)

You can get a fine tip marker by Quartet or Board Dudes and it will write much more darkly than the one included in this product

So far I've been able to erase without leaving residue behind which tends to happen sometimes when the writing stays on for too long or by using the wrong marker, so at least the one that comes with the board is meant for it.

The markers that come with the boards write well and there isn't a shadow left on the boards when you erase.

It’s a cool size but the marker is hard to get going and doesn’t always show up the best.
