Actually fast charges my phone, but you need to make sure that you're using a proper cable - If you aren't getting fast charge, try a different cable

then I received a quick charging block and a very good cable and it charged in 2 hours

There's a lot of pixies flowing through the wires and I could feel a lot of heat at the connector, so I would recommend a quality cable.
