this is a great product, I mounted this to the passenger seat rail of my F150the bracket did not slide in as far as i wanted, so i drilled out the rivets in the seat rail and bolted the bracket directly into the holes making it very sturdyI made my bends using a bench vise following the instruction to make the bends sharp and not sweepingHaving the internet and internet driven navigation has been great

The rod is extremely tightend at both the foot where it is bolted to the seat rail and the other end that connects to the socket where the ball on the back of the X-Grip attaches to so the play is in the rod itself

I was under the impression that once this was mounted to the seat rail, with the X-Grip mounted to that, there would be almost no movement of the X-Grip once my phone was secured in It

Works perfect with my e39 BMW seat rails
