This is the best phone holder I have ever used.

The problem is that with this LARGE XGrip holder (there are two XGrip phone holders available - large and small), the points where the holder makes contact with the phone are right on the phone's controls, so it's either going to be right on the volume buttons on one side and the power button on another side, or over the sound on/off switch.

I finally found great, heavy duty holder for my Galaxy S8+

so I fabricated a holder that sits in my console using a wood base to which I attached a screw-base ball, two double arm mounts and a RAM double ball adapter.

Still a good holder, but you have to keep adjusting the volume once the phones edges closer.
