If you are only using a two step to reach something, then maybe it's not a big deal that the first step isn't very deep like on the Rubbermaid one.

Use caution when using and stepping on the top step.

The stool closes so easily that if your little one grabs the stool from the front of the top step and gives a little lift, the stool snaps closed with little fingers getting squished inside.
